IHTIT: Tennessee Vols vs. Florida Gators Basketball Preview (1/16/24)

It's Hoops Time in Tennessee: Tennessee (#6, 12-4. 2-1 SEC, 7-4 vs. Q2+) comes home from a 1-1 road trip, featuring that maddening, beautiful, frustrating, delightful win over Georgia on Saturday, to host Florida (NR, 11-5, 1-2 SEC, 2-5 vs. Q2+). The game, originally scheduled for 7 p.m., has been moved up to 5:00 due to the inclement weather in Knoxville.

Some bullet points on the Gators: 

• All three Gators featured on the preview graphic are transfers. That's a first for this feature. 
• Florida is an excellent rebounding team. Jonas Aidoo needs to be a force on the boards. 
• In fact, the best path to victory for the Gators is for Tennessee to go super cold (disregarding the actual temp outside) and for Florida to make a ton of second chance shots. 

UT plays much better and more consistently at home than on the road. But will there be a crowd that even braves the elements to come out in Knoxville for this game? Either way, I like Tennessee to win comfortably here and cover the -9.5--although I went 0-2 in last week's games and as I always point out, I don't put real money on these games.
