Tennessee 85, South Carolina 45

Tennessee got right on Saturday in Knoxville, beating South Carolina by 40 points. Josiah-Jordan James made a triumphant return to the lineup, leading the Vols with 18 points on 7-11 shooting. The Vols held South Carolina's GG Jackson to just 2-12 shooting from the field and 5 points total just days after the freshman star pushed Alabama to the limit in Columbia.

Pre-game, there was quite a bit of sentiment around Twitter, Reddit, and other online spaces that the 23-point line that Tennessee was favored by was too big--perhaps much, much too big. As the preview post for this game told you, the number wouldn't matter. Tennessee was going to win this game and win big in front of a home crowd and with JJJ back in the lineup. He's that much of a difference maker on this team, and hopefully Vol fans realize that.

Tennessee's record improves to 21-8 overall, 10-6 in SEC play. The home schedule wraps up Tuesday with a senior-night game against Arkansas.
